The Pyranometer App transforms your iPhone into a basic solar radiation measurement device, providing readings in Watts per square meter (W/m²). It is important to note that the Pyranometer App 2.0 is intended solely for educational and recreational use. Accurate measurement of solar radiation in professional contexts requires high-precision thermopile pyranometers, which are widely utilized in meteorology, climatology, solar energy research, agriculture, and related disciplines.

This application is offered free of charge by Hukseflux Thermal Sensors, a recognized leader in the development of solar radiation sensors. The release of the App on iTunes signifies Hukseflux’s innovation in utilizing the iPhone camera combined with a diffusing filter to simulate pyranometer functions.
